A Message From

OUR PRESIDENT

Greetings Sorors and Valued Guests!

The members of the Jackson (TN) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. welcome you to our virtual home! It is an honor and pleasure to have you peruse our website. I am humbled and thankful to serve as the 37th President of the Jackson (TN) Alumnae Chapter (JTAC). We are a membership of 200 college-educated and professional women with a desire to continue the legacy of the sorority’s 22 Founders. We are committed to impacting and serving the communities in our service area of Haywood County, Hardeman County, Madison County, and the southern portion of State Route 420 in Gibson County.

The Jackson (TN) Alumnae chapter was chartered on April 25, 1945, by ten courageous women. In the spirit of sisterhood, the chapter continues to follow in the footsteps of the Sorority’s Founders and charter members by implementing programs according to the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

Economic Development
Educational Development
International Awareness and Involvement
Physical and Mental Health
Political Awareness and Involvement
